I'm embedded in the middle of a housing subdivision that borders a rural area. My house sits slightly higher as far as elevation. My place is the last place anyone would look. My neighbors fear me (no shit) and the range from my rifle can hit anything before it comes into the subdivision and I've got a great view.

There is only one path way to effectively make a decent assault, which is wide open and funnels before you get to me. With 3 able bodies firing from preselected, shielded areas, it could be a potential blood bath.

Your best asset seems to be that nobody would think you have all that there.

Are you still in the sandbox? What happens if you're thousands of mile away when the zombies come?

          Just playing zombie's advocate here.

I'm not worried, and i'll be laughing when these people predicting doom and gloom and the end of the world wake up on the morning of the 22nd and we're all still here LOL..... I'm not worried because i've accepted Jesus as Lord and savior - bring on the endtimes....

                Matthew 24:36

"No one knows when that day or hour will come-not the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father"

Seems pretty clear cut to me.

A lot of people say that they are saved and really believe that they will go to heaven. Just accepting Jesus into your heart 1 time or even multiple times and asking him to forgive you of your sins just aint enough. You gotta walk the walk on a daily basis. And if you screw up (which everyone does) you have to ask for forgiveness for those sins before you die or else! If you were just saved, the leave and get into a car wreck, blurt out some lords name in vain type shit, and hit a wall and die your ticket is not punched.

I (and a lot of Protestants) disagree. Once saved, always saved. Once you truly accept Christ in your heart, you're in. You can't live life walking around living sin free, or confessing and asking forgiveness every time you look at a pretty girl or mumble an obscenity. Come on now...

By the way, the same guy predicted this in '94/'95, and was obviously wrong.

I've got the smallest house in the subdivision. Nice, but small.

My wife and 15 year old are on the same mindset as I am (for the most part). We've talked about several situations and scenarios if anything happens while we're separated. I'm only a few months from shutting this Iraqi project down.

You got that right! 100% of the end times predictions that have come and gone have been wrong. It's all about understanding the signs and preparation... spiritually more than anything.

I'm going to have to agree and disagree with parts of that. Although we are tasked to "walk the walk" as well as we can even after we've accepted Jesus as our Savior and asked for His forgiveness, we are no longer held accountable for our sins. By accepting Him, we admit that we are by nature sinful and unclean and that there is nothing we can do to earn our way into Heaven unless it is through God's ultimate sacrifice. We do not have to meet any standards or held to a higher level. What He gave us was a Gift. This Gift was completely undeserving and is available to anyone who asks for it.

                      It is just that simple.

Now, going through life, committing sins soley on the basis that you got some free pass doesn't cut it either. I believe it also shows your true heart's intentions and if others can see it, you know He certainly can.

I also feel that you can lose your Salvation if you turn away from God once you are saved.

Of course turning away from God is a lot different than sinning. We all sin, most every day. Thank goodness we have a forgiving, understanding God that knows what's in our hearts.

They said on the radio this morning that it's supposed to end between 6:30 and 9:00 am.

The real question is how many people are going to go just plain nutts friday night and end up dying anyways?
                                See you later...
