Well the insurance company decided to go ahead and total out my car. I've got to give the rental back up Monday which means I need to get into a car ASAP due to work and having to commute daily.

Well fuck I should have prepared better but I did not do so. I've got $800 cash in hand right now. I have to find something decent. Any of you help out? I know some of you get some steals on some deals. I just can't seem to have any luck with that though.

Anyone? I even pm'd that guy about tote the note but I don't guess he was too serious he never messaged me back. I've got a very stable job been here working on 4 years now just got promoted to lead CAD guy and I make steady income on salary. Just wasn't prepared for this. I really don't want to start taking the bus again like when I started this job.... 4 hours daily on the bus/train on top of the 9-10 hour work days. Blehh.

Can't you work out a deal with a work buddy until you get a car?

man, $800 isn't much for the drive you are making.

Looks like it is time to build up your credit and actually take out a loan.

Everyone I work with stays on the opposite side of Dallas as me. I'm debating asking my boss for a loan if all else fails.

I commute from Mockingbird & 75 to Midway & 635 Mon-Fri 8-5... I know $800 isn't much but that's all I got to offer at the moment with rent/bills due next week. Couple weeks though and I'd have about another grand to throw into the mix but I seriously can't wait that long.

I really don't know a lot about how loans work just common knowledge of what a loan is... lol. I don't have bad credit just don't have any credit so it's about the same thing.

Do y'all look in Dallas? Or small cities outside of the area? Because I can't find anything worth a buck in the Dallas area for $800. Today or this weekend.

Is the ins. paying off the car, or did you own it free and clear and they're cutting you a check?

Have you thought of getting a scooter for the time being. It's not pretty, but rubber wheels are better than rubber heels any day of the week.

Search between 600-1100, you can always talk someone down.

Stangers- I have a huge incentive to move 40 F-series(150 up to 350) between now and the end of the month. If you have even been remotely thinking about buying one, now would be the time. Please contact me directly at 817-756-7615 and I'll show you how good this deal is.

Seriously, go purchase a used car at a dealership. If you are set on your income and your credit isn't terrible, it shouldn't be a problem getting a car.

It's the fact that I'm only 23 years old and I can't have someone co-sign since I've got no family. I have my grandma and her credit is terrible and my brother but he lives in Las Vegas and I know he isn't too well off.

ACtually I haven't looked into buying a scooter.... But EVERYONE rides one around my area of town. How cheap can they be had?

I sent him a message but haven't heard back, yet.

The insurance cut me a check and it about broke even. So yeah just have to take that as a loss.

I'm not sure dude, but it's got to be cheaper all the way around (cost,gas,ins...).
