  • III Forks and traffic from Garland at 6pm?

I'll be taking GB at Firewheel to DNT to get to III Forks tonight. At least I figure that is the smoothest. Can I do it in 30 minutes doing the speed limit?

What's good at III Forks? Never been.

Yep. Everything is good at III Forks, although I wasn't super impressed with the ribeye the last time I was there.

I wasn't impressed when I ate there. I will say that I generally hate creamed corn, but their version is great.

That should be plenty of time. Everything is good there.

The southbound light at Frankford after you exit the Tollway will make you want to punch babies at 6pm.

            You've been warned.

I wasn't super impressed. They serve their steaks on a sizzling hot plate so it continues to cook the steak as it sits there. The first couple of bites are great, then it's well done. I like it med-rare to medium, btw...

their cream corn is good and so are their bacon wrapped scallops. I usually get the peppercorn steak and the wife gets the scallops

Food is good. My biggest gripe with them is the hoity toity attitude, even from the servers. Personally, I'd like them more if it was more laid back.

I don't remember my food being served on a sizzling hot plate, not to say you are wrong, I just don't recall that being the case.

I really like their house salad. We've been a half-dozen times over the years, and almost every time we go, old Gene Street would sit down with us and BS for a few minutes. He knows how to work a room.
