What Juggz said. Have her put in a call to the nurse, see what that "thing" is, and ask what the doctor plans to do to monitor the situation.

It has a way of telling us if something isn't right during pregnancy.
she has really been fine the whole pregnancy with no morning sickness or anything, but lately she has been feeling lightheaded and and like she was about to pass out, but she thinks its because she goes too long without eating, we went to the store today to buy fruit and snacks like that so she can carry around with her between meals

Yeah, that will do it. Cashews and peanut butter crackers were my friend during all of my pregnancies. The crackers were good when I was about to crash, and the cashews were my back up when I knew I needed to eat but wouldn't have the opportunity for a while.

My wife had the same types of "issues" when she went to the doc about 1.5 months ago (about 28 weeks). Doc said to lay off the carbs as that is the main reason a baby will pick up weight faster than it should. She did and now both her and the baby are gaining the correct amount of weight as the pregnancy progresses. She also walks and occasionally does workouts designed for pregnant women.

BTW, from Feb to now seems like a long time not to go to the doc. We found out when my wife was 8 weeks along and have been going every 4 weeks since then. Once she hit 30 weeks, now we go once every 2 weeks.

they told my lady to start swimming, so we are going to either swim in the morning at the gym and walk at night or the other way around

Did they do an ultrasound when you went? You gotta be careful with swimming as the baby can turn very easily if your wife does any flips or diving underwater. In fact, our boy was breech until a couple of weeks ago. The doctor said swimming will help turn a breech baby.

Edit: reread your OP and saw they told you the sex of the baby so that answers the ultrasound question.

we called back today and they said that that 95% was the weight for the stage the baby is at, and they are usually only at 50%, depending how the blood work comes back she will send us to a nutritionist and try and get us back on track

Let her eat. My wife ate like friggen compactor when she was pregnant with our son and he's huge. Last check up he was 97% in height, 81% in weight and 97% in head size. I bought him a big pillow.

He was around 8lbs 12oz at birth. They warned her about weight a bit, but he is extremely healthy.

FYI, Ultrasounds can be off in weight estimates. When our Daughter was born at 31 weeks (9 weeks early), Ultrasound showed her to be 6.5 lbs, 1 hour later her actual weight when born was 4 lbs 10oz's

Cool deal! No reason to stress, especially if her blood work looks good. More advances in obstetrics seemingly means more false positives and undue worry. They take circumference and diameter of the head, circumference of the abdomen, and the length of the femur to estimate the baby's weight. If the kiddo has long legs (like mine did) or if they're slightly off in their measurements, it skews the calculation.

Like Jen says, those measurements don't mean dick alot of times. You would be very suprised how inaccurate that info is or how much we really don't know about the process. I got the feeling it was alot of guessing when we were having our son.
