  • smashburger

Was trying to go to this mexican food place on cooper this afternoon and found out it had been closed. Saw a place called smash burger a couple of intersections down and decided to give it a shot. Pretty damn good burger for a fast food place, oh and the smash fries were the shit too..

    Spicy baja burger -ftw

I'm sure this was covered already in canada but this is my thoughts for now.
    That's all.

I was unimpressed w/ Smashburger. Not sure why though.

Go try Patty Shack off of 360 and Ave K when you get a chance. *drool* They put stuff in the patty, not just on top. Example: The Jethro has bleu cheese, bacon, grilled onions and cajun spices cooked into the patty, then the standard lettuce, tomato, etc on top.

So you were trying to go to Habaneros, which closed down like a month ago? If so why didn't you just end up going to el Arroyo directly across the street from smash burger. Better Mexican food and been there longer.

yea I was trying to go to Habaneros I'd only been in there one time and I liked the salsa bar there so I was gonna go again. I didn't see the place across the street I have only actually lived in Arlington a few months so I'm feeling it out.

                    What's up Brien!

the salsa bar was my favorite thing about that place and it sucks that it closed. Tues they had $4.99 taco plates and so I was always there on Tues.

El Arroyo, the place across the street from Smash Burger (next to the car wash), has been around for a long time. They recently got a new bigger patio and new menu and new salsa. On Wed they have $1 margaritas till 7pm ($2 for the larger size). They get hella packed on Wed, and they also have beer specials other nights.

Thanks for the heads up I'll have to give it a shot next time. Wed is my usual day off so the specials on that night could be really good.

Although, the burger joint off three sixty sounds like it will be in my near future as well

So there is a new one at MacArthur and 114, that opened up a few weeks ago.

I tried it out today, and it's not bad. Not the best burger ever, but better than your typical fast food burger.

Their onion rings are the shiznit! Burger was alright. Not too salty. Chili is ok, but nothing to write home about. It's no Burger Island, though!
