On top of embezzlement charges, she also gets sent a 1099. Uncle Sam wants his money NOW. She should have an interesting 10-12 years ahead.

Lyn's been part of the team that busted people for doing just that. I think one was at about 14 million when he was caught.

If you're going to do something like that you have to have an exit strategy in mind, and be ready to exit before they realize anything. Also needs to be enough quantity to carry you out of the country and support you for the remainder of your life. Stupid people.

Right. Sounds like what an ATM Tech. once told me before he disappeared.

That is why I never understood petty theft or small scale embezzlement. The error will be found and internal loss prevention will begin watching.

I would imagine they have been watching this bank mgr for awhile and letting the amount and number of crimes increase. Conviction should come pretty quick.

                            X2

We are prosecuting 2 area managers in my region right now. One embezzled 100k and the one we just arrested Friday had embezzled 240k. Neither amount is enough to sustain you and both were caught fairly quick.

You must have an exit strategy and know when to cut bait and bail.

I wouldn't even contemplate it for less than 5 million and even then you must know you can never come back to the states.

Most people get too greedy and either stay in too long or get lazy

Precisely right. They get away with it multiple times and begin to lie to themselves, much like a fat person that is convinced they aren't huge, and keep dipping in.

Figure out a big score (I'd say $20MM+), get it out of the country and be following closely behind under a new look/identity, etc. This would almost have to be planned before you ever went to work.

And have a homeless guy with matching dentals
