Don't take it personally sir. Jared is good people, he just tries to keep a good vibe at his place which is completely understandable. I used to be invited to his stuff, but since my clash with Brent (online), haven't been invited back. He's a very chill guy, doesn't seem to be the type to hold nonsense grudges. so don't take it personally.

I haven't really had any kind of party since last Halloween. Just small things with regulars, and the occasional swinger parties that remind me of the days before the treehouse incident.

Exactly why the types who are "officers 24 hours a day" don't get invited to any of my parties. There are usually several cops there, but only the ones who are normal people, cool guys, and good friends 24/7, and leave the cop mentality behind when they come over.

Then again, it's not like we're cooking up crack or raping children at these parties, either.

If I do anything, might go to friends and watch a game or go to a Dallas Mavs or stars games. I went to partys from the age of 15 till 22. Got it out of my system young. I don't drink anymore ( Health nut now) so it would be a waste of time. I think you are thinking that Matt would run around asking everyone for IDs. Not cop is going to do that at a party. However, even if your friends that aren't "24hr cops" see something go down that shouldn't, most likely they will do something or say something also. No one is party police, but you aren't going to stand there and let someone hit a joint infront of you.

I do what I can to keep it out of their face (and not just them, but others who wouldn't normally like to be around it), but ultimately, they know it's around and they don't give it a second thought.

With the exception of fighting or disrespect to my home or guests, no one but me (or my girl, or my roommate) regulates anything at my house. If any of my friends (cop or not) sees something that needs to be addressed, they will come get me and I take care of it myself.
