I finally got around to starting it last week. I'm about 2/3 of the way through now.

Love the line from Tony Blair re: burning down the White House in 1812.

"So, uh, I know it's a bit late... but we're sorry."

    LOL

Gotta love the British sense of humor. That's awesome.

Reading The Pumphouse Gang by Tom Wolfe right now. Excellent counterpoint to Hunter S Thompsons views of the 60s.

Pretty damn good. The movie has been done for awhile. For dome reason they keep delaying it. Damn it.

I've been trying to get through The Robber Barrons by Matthew Josephson for months. The 1920-30s style of writing just doesn't sit well with me for some reason.

At the same time I have been reading a lot of Osprey publishing's military history books. Things like Agincourt, The Hundred Years War and the Plains Wars of the late 1800s.

I think Depp is worried about becoming like Jeff Goldblum or Wil Smith. Star in more than a couple of major films a year and people get tired of you. Pirates 4 comes out in May, I'd expect this one to come out sometime late in the year. Unless he's working on something else major.

Just started We Though We Heard the Angels Sing. Its the story of Eddie Rickenbacker's crash in the Pacific during World War II. He and the crew of the flying fortress spent about a month floating around in a dingy waiting for a rescue that almost never came.

Valley Forge (Newt Gingrich) is next on my list, if only I could find a bootleg version.

I've got a few books on the way that were recommended to me by OldGuysRule (Eric), but I'll have to a start stack now.
