  • Advice on injury at work

My wife just let me know she is at care united because she twisted her knee while at work.

I know this may seem like a stupid question, but what should I expect from her employer as far as covering the expenses?

She has a history of torn ACLs so I am afraid this could lead to something big.

Tell her that someone at work needs to make an incident report (first report of injury). Make sure she lets the person providing the medical care know it is a work related injury. Does she have a company rep out there? Maybe something like a Safety Manager or HR Manager?

I dunno. I know she is at the Care United alone. They did make an incident report.

She tripped over the laundry she knocked over by accident.

Actually, she is a daycare teacher, so I am sure she tripped on something the kids left on the floor.

She needs to file an incident report at work. If they have workers comp it should pick up the tab, it just takes a while to get it going.

She should have reported it to her supervisor right then and there. If she didn't and they have no record of it more than likely the claim can get rejected.

The supervisor will then report it to workers comp if it becomes a recordable, she needs days off work and or expenses need to be paid.

                Good luck!
                See you later...

They know it, and she said they made an incident report.

She said they think she has a chipped bone.

Make SURE the hospital knows it will be a workers comp case. Otherwise you will be getting billed for it.
