This.. All Tex Mex place taste the same.

I like Pasianos (sp?) off Harry Hines / Lombardi.

The place we use to go to back in High School was a lot better off NW Highway but people would get shot outside of it haha, so we stop going.

Taco Diner is expensive BS. I'd eat there only because i'd get it for free.

There is a place in Fort Worth i'd stop by when i had to go down there for my job. I cant remember the place but its in a gas station off the highway between Quick Trip and the Home Depot. Its okay and decent, but i'm not familiar with the real mexican food in Ft Worth at all.

man that food looks good. i am starving

When my wife and I go out to eat, she will 100% of the time want to go to a tex-mex place. I will, of course, say I don't want that, and she gets all pissy.

I grew up eating tex-mex/mexican everyday, so what is at a restaurant really doesn't do much for me. I don't want to go and eat it out every time we eat at a restaurant. This really is a source of friction for us.

OTB / Mannys / Chuys are all the same thing to me.

I dont hate it but i dont fiend for it like a crackhead. I can just go to a local joint down the street and get it for 1/3 cheaper then a restaurant if i want Tex Mex. Why is it when you ask for hot sauce they give you salsa?

If you like Paisanos off Lombary you should try Paisanita in OC....they are the same but a tad better.

man, those are the exact places I am talking about. Not so much OTB, and never been to Mannys, but if she is near downtown Dallas she has to have Chuys.

Fuck I am tired of Chuys.

Anyone ever been to the little place right of East Grand and 30?

La Acapulquena - East Grand, Dallas
El Taquito - East Grand, Dallas
El Ranchito - Jefferson, Oak Cliff
                  La Casita - Greenville, Dallas
                  Arboledas - Rockwall

When I worked/lived downtown and Mariano's was still on Main we would eat there a couple of times a week. Good shit!
My buddy's family owns Ojeda's on Maple. It is decent, just got burnt out on it....

Ojeda's chicken fajita enchiladas kick some serious ass. That's all I eat when I go there, but I make the trip about once a month, because nobody else's comes close.

La Margarita in Irving has pretty decent food. More mod mex than tex mex. Guac served on banana leaf, etc. They have this thing that's not on the menu anymore, but you can still get it. Steak ranchero with ranchero sauce. It's a skirt steak, seasoned fajita style, with a cheese enchilada on top and ranchero sauce. That shit is the fucking bomb! Oh, and La Marg has the BEST BORRACHO BEANS EVER!

There is also a new place coming to Grapevine, right in there with Bob's and Fireside Pies as well. It's going to be called Mi Dia. Also mod-mex (modern mexican). I haven't tasted it all, but they spent 3 months developing their menu in my test kitchen, so I've had plenty of samples here and there. They have pork belly sliders (mini tortas) that will rock your world. Man I can't wait til they get opened up.

Anyone else had a California Burrito before? There are only a couple places in DFW that sell them, they are all over San Diego.

Here's what's in them... consists of chunks of carne asada meat, French fries, cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, & guacamole.

                        peaceburger in grapvine.

                        god bless.

Burritos Locos in Grapevine isn't bad. I still prefer esperanza's migas over anything else, though.

                              Oh yeah... And IBDMETH.

I'm with Jared on this. Food itself is good, but overpriced for what it is, and their salsa selection is weak.
