Favorite place to eat Mexican food in the metroplex?

There used to be a place at Maple and Knight in Dallas called El Rincon Tapatio. I ate there for 12 years at least twice a week. VERY authentic and cheap. Lunch plate with drink was $4.75. I miss that place.

That was the BEST Mexican food in DFW, hands down.

I used to eat there once a week when I worked at Children's Medical and in the Infomart.

I even sent my Mexican friends there, aka Henry, and he agreed.

It's identical to the Mexican food I grew up with in Corpus. Real South Texas Tex-Mex

Call me plain, but I like the OTB on NW Highway and Saturn in Garland. The 24/7 Taco on Miller and Saturn makes some dang good tacos.

Mariano's in Arlington. Nothing else comes close, but my other faves would be Cafe Pulido in Arlington, Mi Hacienda in Hurst (or any of the Pulido's locations), Uncle Julio's, Mi Pueblo, La Hacienda Ranch, El Fenix, Or even Mi Cocina (I like the fajita nachos there.)
