If I do it? 100% guarantee as of today. A head shot on me? Not a chance in hell of it putting me down.

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona was shot in the head Saturday when an assailant opened fire outside a grocery store during a meeting with constituents, killing six people and wounding 13 others.

Depends on the headshot and the gun used. I've seen headshots that were survivable and those that looked like a grenade.

I hope it doesn't look like this.

I had a friend commit sideways in Feb/2010. Not sure how, but he managed to get two shots off to the back of his neck. He used a 9mm and according to a mutual friend who is a surgeon (he had to id) the rounds didn't full penetrate but were semi visible in his forehead.

Obviously the Seals use a stronger rd than a 9mm.

Must have been a bb gun(no offense) a 9mm round close range would have no problem penetrating his forehead boss or frontal bone. sorry to hear btw sad stuff

Trust me, it was a 9. He stuck the gun at the base of his neck and fired upwards at an angle. The rounds penetrated the skull but didn't come through the skin. As I said, no clue how he got 2 off. He was in a rage, arguing with his wife and I'm pretty sure did this to serve as a lasting memory. Even one of his kids saw it. The guy was a friend but chose a cocksucker way to go out. He too was a doctor and was in deep financial shit.

I was thinking the Mozambique Drill, but it's only one chest wound. Or one of the two to the chest was a miss.
                    Mozambique drill, or GTFO!

I recently saw what a Ruger LCR loaded with .38+P would do to the head when held at the top of the forehead and fired at an angle to the back of the neck. It made a very interesting cavity.

Yep. Totally agree. Everyone was very upset (small town) and I was pissed off. Especially for his kid. He had two boys and his 18 yr old that adored him saw it, his younger son didn't.

He had been planning it. We played poker and he told us he wouldn't be able to make our next game because he "wasn't going to be here" but no one had any indications of the finality of his intentions.

Sounds like a Michael Connelly book I read. I assume they tested for gsr?

The upper part of the skull (above eyebrows) is extremely tough, hence the ocular cranial cavity shots (below eyebrows and above bottom of nose). Aiming for the forehead isn't a guarantee as its the thickest/toughest part. And true, the bigger & faster the round, the better.

I'm willing to bet the SEALs use .45.
