When I was in Kuwait we had a SEAL team next to our camp, so we all had chow with each other. They look NOTHING like what you would expect. Some big, some small, scraggly beards and some look like hobos.

Very hardcore guys, though. We got to watch some of their training.

you can watch the guys in BUD/S train in san diego, when they are doing log runs and rock portage and such. from what i understand, a lot of that goes on right in front of the hotel del coronado, as the amphibious base is very close by...

when the Marisk Alabama got hijacked my brother was on the ship that housed the SEAL team that rescued the captain. (USS Boxer)

he said they are some pretty rough lookin' dudes and he got to see a few of them train. he said it was pretty intense.
