The 5.7L Tundra is a pretty bad ass truck. Have you considered the 5.6 Nissan Titan? Very comparable specs to the F150, just cheaper. IMHO (I drive one), NOT as good of a truck, but if you're looking for a bang for the buck - it'll work.

Im a Chevy guy myself. But if I where to buy new. I would get the toyota Tundra all day. They run 9.60s bone stock & get 23 mpg & have as much power as the Fords all day.GOD BLESS TEXAS

But on a side note with just a drop in K&N filter, it has run a best of 9.143.
Titans are nice, but get bad gas mileage.

20+mpg on the hwy 2010 4.6 3valve. have seen 24mpg on the in dash display.
IMHO one of the reasons the Tundra run good at the track (ET dont make a better truck) is because they are a couple hundred pounds lighter then the others.http://dfwdirtriders.com/ New Website for the off road peeps

My tundra on the life clock of the ODO, my average mpg is 13.5 right now with 45k o. Not that good. But I drive mostly city miles. I will say this is the best towing truck I have ever owned. My 6.0 HD Chevy could not hold a candle to the towing power this thing has.Last edited by SSMAN; 05-01-2011, 12:12 PM.
