Robert's been taking Tanner to the shop since we got him last July. You can see a definite change in the atmosphere since then. It's much more laid back, and customers bring their dogs. It's much easier for parents to bring their kids. Tanner loves playing with them, so the parents don't feel quite as rushed. They spend more time looking around, and ultimately spend more money.
We're in a much different place than the metroplex, though. It's not uncommon to walk into family owned businesses and see a dog. I don't think I've ever seen one at Lowe's or HD.
