Dogs in stores?

What does that matter? If you dont step in dog shit at home depot, it's ok to bring your dog?

Lord help me if a dog bit my kid in HD. Then the wife wonders why I put myself in between the kids and dogs at say SPCA runs and such. The owners seem somewhat offended that I think their dog would bite..

Anyway, I see both sides of this story and just like smoking I think it should be the store's rules. Like mentioned - if I don't like it I can leave. However, owners should be immediately kicked out if their dogs are overly obnoxious.

The Mansfield store has a sign out front prohibiting pets, and in have taken Scooby in some other Home depots before.

You pansy asses would hate Europe, they take dogs everywhere, restaurants, stores, public transportation, etc.

I have no issue with dogs being in stores like home depot. Seems to be the new trend now days. Now I would not want a threatening type dog brought in to a store, nor would I want to turn around and have a dog stick it's nose in my crotch either. Other than that, I am all good.

I have people that come into my store, and just put their little dog on my counter and let it walk around while I'm trying to help them. I'm a dog person, but the level of entitlement that goes through some peoples head still sort of surprises me. I would never think it was okay to just walk into a store and set my dog on their workspace to walk around. The dog doesn't bother me, but the person just doing that sort of thing without a thought about it does. I just don't understand why people take their dog shopping with them. The last thing I want when I'm out in public is having to wrangle my dog from other people who hate dogs when she just wants to sniff their leg and i'm trying to pick out a goddamned shade of cerullean blue to paint the accent wall in the bedroom.. I'll take my mutt on short jaunts around town, but she stays in the car when I get there.

Dog's are very smart if you train them properly. If you don't train them, spoil them, you will have an annoying, yapping, poor behaved dog. Yelling at your dog to shut up when it is barking does nothing. If it does, it is probably scared and becomes submissive.

thats true it really depends on how the dog is trained most people dont know how to properly train them so they become annoying. heaven forbid someone slip on some dog piss talk about a liabilty

uhhh... without something to feed on, a flea will only live a few days or so. I don't think they're going to survive eating the concrete floors and metal shelving inside a home depot
