A small bobby pin works better. Q tips just mash the wax in farther. Wax gets caught up in the looped part of the pin and pulls out the good stuff. Pin> q-tip anyday IMO.

I don't necessarily do it to combat earwax...I mostly do it for the amazing feeling it gives.

q-tips come out of my ears clean almost all the time. every once in a while, there'll be a little trace of wax.

BUT, I'm an clean ear freak I clean them with soap and water as deep as my pinkies will reach in the shower, rinse them in the shower, then drop some rubbing alcohol in them post-shower, and then hit them w/ q-tips

my wife always says the two reasons I landed her were 1. I'm tall and 2. my ears are always clean as a whistle

lmao...I never thought super clean ears would help land a woman. I guess it certainly can help it! I think I produce quite a bit of wax. I clean my ears 1 to 2 times a week and get a pretty decent amount. I like the fact that sometimes its different colors (shade of brown).Disgusting...probably....interesting...yes! .

I am a fan of seabreeze skin cleaner. Soak a q-tip in that and plow both ears. Take fresh tips soaked with as hot of water you can stand and git the residue. ZOMG love me that clean ear feeling.
