  • Bill of sale/DMV forms when trading a vehicle?

Long story short, I'm doing an even trade with a guy out of state for my truck. What forms do I need him to fill out and how do I go about the wording in a bill of sale when it's an even trade (no cash involved)?.
    TIA

Being an out of state vehicle they wont charge you the 6.25% tax. I haven't seen a form for trades but I do know that make sure you transfer your vehicle to them in the system, then charge you $5.

You can transfer liability online. https://vision21.txdmv.gov/Vehicle/VehicleLookup.aspx

Plus, being out of state they will probably hit you with the $90 out of state "new resident" tax.

Just make sure you have the VIN # for the vehicle you are giving him. You should only have to pay the $5.00 even trade tax. On the 130-u in box 20 put all the information from your vehicle there. Have him sign on line 22.
