Looking for a place to get away really. A nice little vacation spot maybe near the beach? I remember some of you guys raving about some place not too long ago. Don't remember the name of the city, not looking to drive toooooo far. Would be with the Gf.

Wife and I have vacationed at Mustang Island/Port Aransas/Padre Island. Plenty of good and scenic places to stay. Take your pick of things to do. And, of course, plenty of beach. We had a good experience staying at Mustang Towers. Take your time when looking for lodging. There are some old beach front rental condos down there that are trashy and poorly managed. Only thing I don't like about it the rather long and boring drive.Comment
