Good daily beater for $1500?

Friend of mine is looking for a daily beater..... Not trying to pay anymore then $1500 unless it's really worth the extra $200-300.


Opinions? Right now she drives a 87' TII RX7 which is in GREAT condition so I can understand the need for a daily beater.

All I've been able to find on craigslist is a bunch of junk.... Oklahoma & Texas.

And search in the price range of 1400-2000. You can easily talk someone out of a few hundred.

Decent? Needs a new timing belt. 2000 Dodge Neon for $500 looks to be in pretty decent shape.

They exist but everytime I find one.. it is sold immediately. The civics are starting to get above 2000 due to gas prices.

It's rough as all get out.

Lil bro put a crease in teh front fender and destroyed the headlight trim. Needs a back glass and interior. Has a 350/TH350 with an 8.5" rear with highway gears and and open diff. Some of the accessories are missing from the motor.

I'll throw in a set of 14" cragar SS wheel to sweeten the pot.
