I loved it when the booths were still open, but when that shut down I had to start dropping my tailgate. I'm sure they got my plate a time or two, but not near as many times as they should have.

I haven't driven the tool roads regularly for a while now, and I don't miss it.

The cameras have a hard time getting a legible pic when you have white on black vintage plates.

Yeah, the old plates don't have the reflective shit on them that the new ones do. Haha ! Suckers !

I guess I never really thought about why I never got a bill for driving the Riviera down the tollway. You only have to display one tag (the rear one), and the LP is tucked up under the rear bumper on the Rivieras, so that works perfectly !

Myth Busters did a show on that, the tailgate up actually was better. When I ran Lyn's Harley truck at K-dale, I got a little better times with the tailgate closed too, it was very consistent when trying it the two different ways.

I've seen dudes ride the shoulder to avoid the camera sensors, but I'm not sure if it works. I got to assume the motion sensors would still take a pic even if it doesn't detect you in the lanes.

There used to be a clearly visible black tar outlined strip in the toll booth lanes. You rode around it (very little space between the edge of the strip and the curb) to avoid tolls, not sure about now though.

There was a company that made a plate to avoid tolls. It was glass you couldn't see through unless you applied a charge. They aren't around anymore, but I wonder how hard it would be to make something like that myself.

There is sensor in the traveling lane that are before the camera and let the camera know when to take the picture. Those sensors are tested up to 220mph.

Flip down your license plate with the click of the wireless remote control. It couldn't be any easier or quicker. Simple to install and fun to use
