OoO Witty, aren't you... Even though you technically agreed with what I originally said, you are still acting obvlivious. It's cool. I will pretend you are still upset.

I would have replied, "Unless he's dead" and the grinned at him.

If that dog gets out and hurts anybody or anything now, the owner will be negligent because he knew the dog was dangerous and capable of it, yet he didn't do enough to prevent it.

I'm over by the fence so I bang on it to get my dogs attention (i was on the outside, she(my half collie half aussie) was on the inside) but nothin..
By this time the dog is about 10 feet from me I don't know what his deal is or why he is so bent out of shape, so I yell "GO HOME" and point the opposite way and stare him in the eyes.. He slows a bit, until he stops about 6 feet from me and keeps the yapping.

I usually have my grand-pappy's old pocket knife on me, so I took it out in case this dog had rabies or some shit and it was going to try and bite me.

After yelling at it some more my neighbors kids came out to see what was happening, and about that time I guess the owner did too, because I heard a whistle and the dog started to slowly head the other way....

I couldnt believe that dog was someones in my neighborhood or what all the foam was about.. anyway I did yell "I almost stabbed your dog" as I was putting my knife back up. Cool story bro.
That sounds similar to a time when I was at a customer's house taking pictures. Out of nowhere comes the meanest Irish Setter. He was growling and barking and slowly aproaching me getting ready to attack. I looked up and his owner was just standing inside the back door watching. I raised my measuring wheel up, ready to whack the dog in the head. Then the owner decided to open the door and call him.

          • does this guy warn EVERY dog owner that walks by that his dog may get out and kill?

seems like a better use of time would be to simply fortify his fence or keep his dog indoors.

              • i would call the animal control or popo and get MIL some bear mace. letting his homeowners insurance provider is another good idea

now if was me walking my dog(cropped eared pitbull or chihuahua) and a dog ran at me i would not hesitate to put out my pistol and send it to doggy hell. why should i take a chance at getting myself or my dog hurt because someone idiot can't keep his dog secure?

now before you faggots scream "OMG would you shoot a tiny dog if it came at you?!?!?!!!" . the answer is no. if i can easily punt the dog away then i would do that, but if it looks like it could actually get to me or my dog with a chance to bite, you bet your ass he is gonna get popped

How do you not know where he lives? I thought you saw him walk out of his garage?

She was really just taken aback by the whole deal. She was so thrown off guard, that she doesn't even remember exactly which house it was.

Frank, I haven't seen the dog, the house, or the owner....yet. My daughter and MIL walk the dog after school occasionally and they are the ones who saw the dog/house/owner.

The street force field would have stopped the dog!

                            • Get a "Bull Mastiff" and go by and politely ask if his dog would like to come out and play for a while....German Shepard please!

Well, technically, my MIL was worried about the dog attacking them/our dog, so she hasn't taken her back down that street since this happened.

But I didn't like the thought of this dog potentially getting out and attacking someone or some other dog and wanted to get a general consensus on what you guys thought.

It just really pissed me off that this guy had the nerve to tell my daughter and MIL that his dog could possibly get out of their yard and kill our dog. You don't fucking tell a little girl that her dog could get killed in front of her.
