Property Taxes by County

Does anyone have or know where to acquire a list of which counties are high/low for property taxes?

Basically, I'm just trying to figure out who charges what in comparison to Collin County. I've googled "property taxes by county + texas" with nothing really being available.

You can research individual counties, but I was hoping to find a table/spreadsheet with them all outlined for Texas.

I may hit up my Realtor as well. Just throwing it out there in case someone knows more then I do about it. I know nothing really.

No, but there are a lot of counties I'm looking at buying. I just figured there would be a list somewhere.

I realize I can drill down on every county - but that may not be the case.

Available on the assessor's site for a given county.

You are missing the boat though, it isn't the county that eats you alive on property taxes, it is the local ISD. Some school districts will rob you blind.

Search for property taxes in Texas. Click on the first link.

Then click 2010 county and ISD tax rates by county.

Then just select the counties you care about and creat your own matrix.

Good to know on the ISD too. Did not consider that, so basically try to figure in county and THEN ISD taxes?
