Well my bullshit wiring finally caught up to me. The one day drive it to work. Oh well.

I must say though, I have been sitting here on the side of the road for a out 50 mins , in what I consider a not very good part of garland and I have had 5 people stop and offer to help, so regardless of what people say about Garland, there are good people here.

Home now. No sure what caused the melt down but I will try to have it fixed soon. I would really like to go to the track this weekend.

Fuel pump wire was the culprit. Melted all the way from the back of the car (where I think it got shorted out) all the way to the solenoid. Melted it in two in several places and melted any wires, carpet, wire loom, etc that was close to it in the process. Burned it completely in two about a foot off the soleniod. oh and as the meltdown was happing the starter engaged and was turning the motor over the whole time.

I am wondering if the starter had not of run the battery down, if it would of caught something on fire......there was a shitload of electrical smoke, so much that I came out of the car with the fire extinguisher in hand.
