Granted I had a $1200 car given to me to use when I turned 16, but I paid for everything on that beast. Ins was $100 a mo, plus gas and all the tires I could put on it. I even had to buy my own parts when shit broke(unless it was ridiculously expensive)

I had to use graduation monies and a loan to buy a truck when i graduated so I had something to drive to college.

I made an agreement with my parents that I would only make them pay minimum liability if they let me buy a sports car, and that I would just deal with it if something happens to it. Even if I have to go carless. I saved my parents $65 a month. The funny thing is that minimum liabilty on my v6 f-150 was quoted above what my 97 cobra was. Lol. Somebody fucked up. My car cost $70 a month, an thats before the academic discount.

This is true. But that was the deal between us. If they hadnt agreed to it, i would be paying it. If i could get a job I definely would. I work on weekends @ a concession stand, but thats basically just to pay my half of gas.

You are in highschool and saved up that much money working weekends and somehow saved up money for that car? Guess what buddy I think you're lying, I think that car is in your parents name...since the insurance is in their name! There is no way in hell you could afford that car in high school bro. I worked my ass off in high school and could barely buy myself a hamburger from McDonalds. This thread has derailed so much anyways now I've lost my train of thought. I highly doubt you're gonna tell that guy anything. We all know here on the board that your out hot rodding your car...obviously by your sig pic...so don't go freaking out when another kid you go to school with is doing the same thing you are doing!
