No doubt that would be for sale when I got to the house.
I would rent a car until it was bought.
I wonder if he is having problems with his transmission.
Agreed. At the very least, he could make $10-20k if he markets it right and then he could turn around and buy another one for sticker in 6 months and pocket the difference.
If I couldn't find someone to buy it for decent profit, that car would be sitting in the garage until the next barret jackson. Hell if I walked into a Ford dealer and saw that on the floor I would find some way to buy it, just to resell it.

Did you see how much the stupid Shelby went for at auction?
2007 Barrett-Jackson, Scottsdale: First Shelby GT brings $600,000
Wait... didn't you have a '93 Cobra and a '04 Mach 1?
Ferraris of the '60s weren't revered back in the '60s. They were just cool cars.
Yes sir. I sold the 93 a couple of years back, we still have the Mach. But we don't have them to be collector cars, or expect them to to be worth alot of money at any point. We buy our cars to enjoy and use them.
My point is that you can look anywhere and find numerous serial number repackaged cars such as Roush, Saleen, Mach, GT500's etc and get them at a price MUCH less than when they were first released with the mark up. When they are released there is alot of hype behind them to push high initial sales, then the prices soon fall afterwards when they move on the next repackaged version.
I'm not saying they are bad cars, just saying it's the advertising machine at work. Anyone that goes out to buy a 2012 Boss thinking it's going to be some rare collectable is going to disappointed when they depreciate just like any other car. It's a repackaged GT, thats it. That's not a bad thing, it's just not some rare supercar that will increase with time, nor is it an original Boss that will appreciate with time.
Why would he not sell it? He keeps saying if someone wants to pay off my loan and buy me a new one I would? Did h e roll over a shitload in negative equity or what? If you can make (conservative) $5-10k on it and then buy a new one why not?
5-10k + Boss > Boss

He pretty much just wants Boss just like it without any payment. I don't blame him but I bet he could do better if he played it right.

Yeah but my point is, if you can make 5-10k on selling the one you have and then go right back out and buy a similar one why not? Like I said, 5-10k + Boss is better than just a Boss.. I am only saying this is because it sounds like it is going to be a daily with kids and everything else. The car is going to get trashed most likely.
