you should have found us at Rooney Park after the event.
Looked and sounded good boost addict had a majorly flapping plastic skidplate. We would have been at the park but we were all pretty much lit before hand so we just stayed at the camper and proceeded to drink even more.

The gt40 in the unlimited class was amazing the sound generated by that car coming towards us was purely awesome.

I was looking for y'all at the car show before the race but I didn't see anyone standing around the car so figured you were on walk about checking out the rest of the cars.

There was a few cars that were blowing some oil smoke out the back mostly that cuda and the gray/silver corrvette that had the massive vented hood in black.

Most likely we will be participating in the event next year we made the trip to volunteer and learn as much we can about it.

Thank you for being there. We could not do this event with out the support of people like you working the gates. I hope we put on a great show for ya!!

damn man, that sux. we were at the car show but we don't hang out at the car. we usually walk around and talk to the people we know out there.

if i had known or remembered (if i did know) that you would be working a gate, i would have PM'd my cell number to you.

and i agree, Teiman's GT40 sounds fucking awesome. when he takes off, you can still hear him after he vanishes out of sight.

charlie's corvair hit 209MPH in the first trap before he blew a tire.

the polara caught fire and the back half was toast. that was his last run.

I just read a post from Charlie. He said it was a distributor problem that caused him to stop.

Andy, tell me more about how to run this.

How is the mustang set up, as far as trans and gears and such. What safety items are required? Will a GPS to be half accurate empty my wallet??

the best thing is to thoroughly read the rules for the speed class that you want to run. i will pm my cell number to you. give me a call and i'll tell you that way. it is too much to type out.

Dave's car has a stock block 351W with performer heads and rpm intake with a 750 holley. the tranny is a fox body T5 and the gears for now are 3.00 in a 9 inch. by next year, he plans to put 370's in it and we are bumping up to 115 or 120.

we found out how important an aluminum radiator is for these things too. the car didn't get over 188 degrees on the hottest day there at speeds over 100mph.

tires are the other important component...obviously.
