"Nothing is static. Even the Mona Lisa is falling apart." You can adapt to change or you can complain about it. The youth of today have a different set of circumstances and truths than we did. Maybe they aren't learning the same thing we did. We didn't learn the same things our fathers did. As the world advances, so does the necessity of our knowledge base, and what is concentrated on in a learning environment. I doubt public schools are any worse now than the open classroom experimental bullshit that went on in the 80s. Talk about the invention of ADD..

Granted, teaching may have something to be desired as well.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

I have a hard time believing this because the "rebel" flag has almost been removed from school.
And "that" generation will have screw ups as well as succesful people. Laborers are the people that think just because something is more physically difficult, it contains higher value.

I have operated a mill, lathe, welded, and much more. But it's way easier to generate some code and click go. I do agree that it takes both the young and the old to run a successful program. But why do I need to know any of that when I can design my parts and order them from a slew of approved suppliers without overpaying some old guy to bitch about kids.
