Your Truck is headed to south Texas as we speak but wont go across into Mexico. If and when they find it it won't have a back seat. They been stealing Diesel 4x4 for awhile because they can handle the brush in South Texas and can carry alot of cargo. Either drugs or illegals.

They don't seem to think they don't have to work to buy their own stuff, you bet they can work to try and steal it and then after they work, they can leave with nothing but busted knuckles.
Unless you don't care about your vehicle, then just leave the doors unlocked and windows down. LOL

I for one like and want to keep my truck.
I paid $4500 for mine and it would probably total out around $13k or so. I'd rather make money than spend money on it.

and the parts are just flat out expensive... you steal a 4wd CR Dodge and you've got an almost instant $5k for the engine/trans/axles.

Hopefully insurance will come through like they did when my fox got stolen. Maybe get a bike and just keep the cash or a 6.4

I have heard of and seen those plates but I've been working a lot and busy with school so I haven't had time to really look into it. I haven't even had the truck for two months yet.

I can understand if you have a car/truck that's just that, which it sounds like that's what you have.
I just have too much invested & I use it for work as well. I just don't ever see me selling or trading it in so hopefully can keep it for a long time.
As far as my last couple trucks, yeah I'm with you and wouldn't spend the money on a anti theft device.

If you do decide on the 6.4, I would do some research before you buy.

if you've got that much invested in it, I would get a declared value policy so you can sleep easy at night

I've heard mixed reviews. Not as reliable as the 7.3 but I've heard its much better than the 6.0 with tons of power. Is there something I'm missing? Is it a time bomb too?

the 7.3 is reliable because it doesn't make enough power to hurt itself... still have HPOP, injector, cam sensor, etc. issues.

The 6.4 is a beast. Wouldn't hesitate to buy a nice clean one with a good Oasis report

Even with the doors unlocked, they are too stupid to just try and open the door. I had an S-10 and never locked it, yet the break the door open and pry the dash apart for a $45 kraco CD player I got from K-Mart
