I also love my 1/2" battery impact.
The cheapest, coolest tool I've received(and since have given out a few myself) is the magnetic fingertip.
Damn, that magnetic fingertip looks handy as hell!
Yeah, I just googled and picked the first image to attach. Those are too stubby for most people, but really, almost everyone at one point gets Craftsmen screwdrivers for Xmas!

I bought a Milwaukee 18V drill/impact combo last year. I had never used the impact so when I read this thread, I decided to try it out. It has an opening for a standard bit holder (rather than a 3/8 or 1/2" drive) so I put a bit with a 1/4" drive on it and it took out the seat bolts on a 2000 Mustang with a quickness! I think it will see more use.

The most unique tool I have aquired (inherited) is a Time-Rite magneto timing tool for a Pratt & Whitney R4360 "Corncob" radial engine (B36 bomber). I love old radial engines.
I purchased a Rockwel SonicCrafter a few months ago and that multi tool is one of the most usefull tools I have for carpentry. Tried it out on some body panels and it has a use there as well. Great gift for the home handyman.
