If I were at the establishment when this went down and I wasnt LE and had a CHL I would say grab the girl the first time they split up and stand between them and her. The first one to attack after that, a quick elbow to knock one of the violators out, and then if the next one charged, knock her ass out also. If the crowd decided to jump in at that point I would say you could be in fear for your life and draw down on them. If you have to shoot one then it will go to grand jury for them to decide no doubt but I like your odds. This is the reason people should carry pepper spray with their gun just in case you get into something that is questionable. Pepper will clear a place fast.

These are numbers of offenders, but I'd like to know how many were actually prosecuted as a hate crime. That is a FAR different number, I'm certain.

I can see, depending on the back story, this going either way as far as a hate crime. If it was started just out of who was in line first at the bathroom I doubt it. Now if the w/f was standing in line at the bathroom and one of the girls walked up and said hey you whites go last, then I could see it being a hate crime. It all depends on what was said.

Keep up sparky, I said intervene not shoot. I asked the question about CHL out of curiousity from a legal standpoint but I tend to fall under Dave's idea of getting physical first.
