Sounds like you have a great kid! I got my first ticket on Forest Lane in 1976...3 days after I got my license. Cop about shit when I handed him my temporary paper license. My old man found out about it, and it was a loooooong time before I got my 2nd one!

good ol forest lane. my first one(s) were 80/55, wrong side of the road and running a stop sign. LOL

I always catch myself being too polite when I get pulled over. I hate when I thank them as they walk off after giving me a ticket, its just a habit lol. Every time I think to myself wtf did you just thank him after he gave you a ticket.

and it helps to be white! When my son was born I told him he already started out ahead of the game because he was a man and he was white.

Seriously, think about it. If we could ever make a time machine and go back in time, there are pretty much no limits when it comes to being white, when you would or wouldn't want to go. If you're black...you might want to stick to 1970 and after.

sometimes courtesy goes a long way. i never understood the concept of being belligerent towards and officer, especially when you know you're in the wrong. i.e. blatantly speeding

The truth goes a long way, too. I got out of a ticket a couple years ago because the officer asked why I was speeding, and I responded with, "I'm going to give my boyfriend head before he leaves for deer camp."
He just handed my license back and waved me on my way.

I cant tell you how many times I have asked the officer I'd appricate it if he/she did not write me a ticket from watching my dad as a kid. It usually fallows with a "I'd appreciate it it if you didnt speed". So far no speeding tickets. Its always for something stupid like inspection or liscense plate bulb out. Also, dont lie about the address on your d.l. I was being lazy one time and hadnt gotten mine changed. He busted me. Got a ticket that time. But... it was only for the address change. Not for the 60 in a 40 testing my new 70mm turbo out. He had an svo and understood.

This thread has it all! We've got speeding and being pulled over by the cops, having the police call you at home. Then we have cops being cool about it and white supremacy. Also we have good teenagers and blow jobs. Don't forget Forest lane and time machines and equality. What more could you ask for?

This is true. Being young and stupid I went to friends house and we had a hell of a party, I don't remember leaving, the next thing I do remember is having a cop car parked behind me with his lights on! I was a mess, couldn't find my wallet couldn't find my insurance card and was smashed. Told the cop i was on my way home and lived about 1/2 mile away. He said he would follow me home and if I did above 15MPH he would arrest me on the spot and tow my mustang. That was the longest half mile I've ever driven, lol. However I haven't drove drunk since then and thats been 15 years ago. See we CAN learn a lesson without paying money to the state for it.

I generally won't write someone who is polite and honest. Fact is most people aren't polite at all when they are pulled over.

I have gotten more tickets than not and I'm always polite and friendly, except for the one time this asshole stopped me for doing 59 in a 45 when I wasn't doing a lick over 40. I guess he didn't realize that when he's at the top of a hill and I am at the bottom of a hill, his radar is scanning things on the horizon. I tried to explain that to him, but it appears as if common sense was not his strong point.

I've never heard of an officer being able to just "void" a ticket once it has been written/issued. Something about having to be accountable for each ticket/citation they issue. I'm not in law enforcement, but I'm sure one of our friendly LEO's can shed some light on it.
