I looked up the Crown Vic and the biggest stock engine was a 250hp version in 2006+ versions. Limited to 120mph in most configurations.
All of ours are 260hp, 3.27 gears . The slicks run 135-139 and the marked cars run 128-133. There is no govenor besides the wind and aerodynamics. Weight and add ons limit the top speed.

I heard the Chargers were topping out somewhere around 155 mph.

I topped one out at 128. It was loaded with crap and had a light bar.

I heard they had that interceptor 5.4, it's supposed to be the 385hp Cobra R engine only it's even more badass because it says interceptor on the back.

Actually I did have a FWPD officer tell me his 96 Camaro had an LT5. I didn't really believe him though since I watched the roll bars get installed in most of them. It was odd that they went to a chassis shop before getting the lights and decals added but they were completely stock other than the bar when they left. Heck I don't even think they were real B4Cs.

If it was a Camaro SS or Charger with the Hemi or what not, it would have made more sense. Whatever was under the hood of that Crown Vic, it apparently closed with some speed because I didn't drop much below 100mph until I took the exit and I had a green light under the 121 overpass and right into the gas station and then the cop was on my a** immediately.

All's well that ends well though. I looked up the ticket price and it should be around $270. I'll request deferred and try to be a good boy in the future and keep it on the track.

of course, its okay for a cop to weave in and out of traffic at 128mph in a 4100lb boat to catch a guy going 101mph in a 3200lb corvette , because they did a 2 day high speed driving course, and there is a holiday inn express right near there!!!

I watched LWPD high speed down that ramp this morning busting a Ram pick up. I knew he was gonna get it too before we even got to the curve. I have to admit, lol'd a bit.

Exactly. I could park my squad car sideways on I20 and it would be perfectly legal.

Does DFW still have the $30something lawyers that will go to court for you or has that changed? Here in VA if you even want to state a case you have to pay around $800 to be represented.
