  • Resume Services?

Has anyone used one before? I'm willing to pay someone to make my resume look better and stand out if it is worth it. I guess I'm asking for a referral or input on using a service like this.

My resume, (i think is good) but I'm sure it can use some improvement in certain areas. With the economy sucking the way it is i rather pay the money to have my resume stand out than just another resume to add to a file.

    Any input would be nice.

I would suggest doing it yourself still and use the proactive keyword approach after reading job descriptions. I would worry that a resume service would just throw in a form template that is all too common.

There are likely people on here that would help you out for free, or at least, a hell of a lot less than a resume service.

I knew of one idiot who paid $200 to have his resume professionaly reviewed and reconstructed.... he stil does not have a job. He refuses to reduce it down to 1 page and I have personally seen recruiters hand it back to him.

No need to pay someone to do what you can do yourself.

A nude pic of yourself on a coverpage should get you in the door.

Maybe you shouldn't list all of the certifications. It could be making it look like you are overqualified for some positions and just extended your resume too far. Just list that you have numerous certifications and can supply them upon request.

1 page is an outdated rule back before there were millions of certifications and software packages. 2 pages is fine if relevant. Especially with everything being online. Keywords are critical for automated resume scanning.

Attach it in the other portion online.
