My mom did say that foreclosure is an exception to the rules of death disclosure. A bank is under no obligation to disclose anything other than known structural damage.Last edited by Treasure Chest; 04-18-2011, 11:21 AM.

Also, from what I understand, once you have the knowledge of someone dying in that house, you MUST disclose it to potential buyers. So you'll always have a hard time selling it.
Yeah i didn't think of that....then again i don't have any kids....
And i think there is of some sort of law that as a seller you must disclose this type of info to potential buyers....

It wouldn't bother me. I wouldn't want to know the details of the story. People die. I don't believe in ghosts, and being christian, they shouldn't worry about omens. I wonder if they lived there for 30 years would you still have to disclose that info or is there certain amount of time that after it has passed you're ok to not disclose that?Originally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Now, it would be hard for a buyer to prove you had knowledge of it, and didn't disclose, after a certain amount of time. Say, if you bought it and sold it 30 years later. But if you lived in that house, your old lady blew her head off, and you sell the house 30 years later and didn't disclose, that would be easy to prove. The more hands the house passes through the harder it is to make a case.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Only the owner is obligated to disclose, but if it's bank owned be foreclosure, they get a free pass. It doesn't make much sense to me.Originally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Sorry to hear that.
