A friend of mine broke the glass on his, so he bought a new phone shell, and moved the guts from the broken phone over

Check on craigslist. I had a screen replaced (iphone4) for 125 bucks. It took less than 2 hours.

it's easier than you think to repair the glass. get on youtube and do a search on how to do it. then order the glass off ebay for 10.00.

If you're in the Hurst area, there's a place over by NorthEast mall. I had the touchscreen fixed on my phone there and they were able to fix it within my lunch break.

I remember there being a guy at traders village awhile back that was an Authorized ATT shop that would put new glass for $65. Was gonna get it done but had blown my cash on tools already that day.

I ended up going to the apple store as it was the easiest and convenient way.

They just replaced it free of charge, and normally it would have been 100. I think when I told them there was nothing on it to really save, they just swapped it and let it be.

Ok I guess. My wife was pissed when she had to go get all her contacts back though. I told her it is better her doing that than us spending $100.

oh, and I will never step foot in an Apple store again.

I went with a friend once to get his repaired at the apple store and my buddy asked if anyone did it on the side to make some money and sure enough found someone that did it for $20 plus the cost of the glass. I use to have his number but when my old iphone crapped out on me i lost his number
