The plan is to sell current truck. Buy a car that gets really god gas mileage. Then buy a truck with cash around 5k that can be used on the farm and pull a car trailer.
This does not really have anything to do with the question though.

So you will have a beater truck and a econo bucket you are making payments on? That doesn't sound fun to me. I have the econo bucket and my nice truck (that I make payments on) so I have something I enjoy driving. But, I can see how your wife having a mustang (and I assume you still have one) will make that better.

It is hard to argue with her when she has good taste in vehicles. She also knows that if I am not happy with something I don't keep it. This morning she did wake up and say... that 400 extra a month does sound really nice lol. But then she jokingly said.. i did have a bad dream that you turned gay after driving a fiesta lmao.
It was just an idea btw.. should have label the poll.. would you drive a cheap POS car.
Cars I have in mind:
Kia Forte
Honda Civic
Ford Fiesta ( although I can't stand the way they look)
cars in that class.
Sure you did. She said she wanted a Mustang, and you said "I'll get right on it sweetie, whatever you want" as the whip cracked in the background.
To answer your question, hell yes I would. Due to my job, I have to have a fairly nice vehicle. I must have a 4 door truck, or at the very least, a full size SUV (which I do, 03 Expedition). I haul clients, I haul equipment, and I can't have a rattle trap 20 yr old beater to drive daily. Though I'm sure my company would appreciate me driving a 4 door Civic, it's just not feasible. That said, I won't ever buy new again (for my vehicle anyways), and the last two vehicle purchases I made were bought in cash. I look for well maintained, gently worn, high mileage vehicles. It doesn't make sense to have a payment with as many miles as I go through a year. Depreciation would kill me every time. And I roll the dice on the warranty, and so far so good. I agree with Forrest though. I wouldn't be looking at a new Fiesta, or anything else with a payment. I'd be looking for a reliable cash car. If it's sole purpose is to and from work, I wouldn't care about paint damage, hail damage, etc. And given the recent storms, I bet some deals will be made on some dinged up cars. They'll start popping up, just keep your eyes peeled.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

If that were the case there would be a Land Rover in the driveway.

My wife lovesss her Nissan Versa. She went from a fully loaded out (pos) Equinox, AWD, leather etc. It cut her gas usage in half and it is a really fun car to drive. Hell fully loaded with fosgate, bluetooth, sunroof etc it was like 18000. The base ones are way cheaper.Whos your Daddy?

Seems a bit higher than KBB but this would be a perfect beater.

not that i know of, the only thing that mine has a problem with is the speedo. But since my check engine light isn't on then i don't really worry about it.
oh BTW my civic is about to hit 300k

My ol' lady has an 06' honda civic. We bought it new. Got the base model dx with a/c and power windows as the only option. Paid 16,500. Just turned 80k miles and the only thing that has been replaced is the air filter, wipers and in cabin filter along with tires. Still has the original plugs in it and gets around 35mpg in town 40/hwy. This is also after it was stolen and had 1500 miles of I am sure pure hell on it. That bieng said with all these economy cars coming out its your choice. I'd rather say I drive a civic as a daily then a fiesta but thats from the rap fiestas have from back in the day.
