I would and my wife wouldn't tell me what car to buy. In case you're going to ask me if I'm married yes I am.

If you really want to be Druish about this purchase, a 2 year old Aveo with an extended warranty would get similar mileage, and be about $5k cheaper. Just a thought.

Again, I could see taking it in to consideration if you were in a Fiesta now, and wanted something nicer that was going to up your current payment. But you're doing the opposite, its a car she won't ever be in much, and it's a move to save the family money.

You think he had any input on deciding what she's driving?

Get the Fiesta for a daily driver. I wouldn't care what anyone else thought about it as far as appearances.

Nope. Not one bit. That's what is funny.

It's not about who is married and who isn't. It's about who wears the pants, and in this case, who clearly doesn't.

what car are you trading for it? saving $350-400/mo in gas is a nice thing

paying $500/mo on a car payment to do it, is foolish

                        sounds like a winner then...

I'm a cash car guy though... I'd just buy a $4-5k Honda that gets 30's mpg

Actually I did. She drives a very nice 2009 Mustang GT.

It is hard to argue with her when she has good taste in vehicles. She also knows that if I am not happy with something I don't keep it. This morning she did wake up and say... that 400 extra a month does sound really nice lol. But then she jokingly said.. i did have a bad dream that you turned gay after driving a fiesta lmao.

It was just an idea btw.. should have label the poll.. would you drive a cheap POS car.

                          Cars I have in mind:
                          Kia Forte
                          Honda Civic
Ford Fiesta ( although I can't stand the way they look)
                          cars in that class.

Been looking for one and most seem like a pile of junk that I will be working on every weekend. I am in no rush so it gives me time to find a good deal.

My 2dr Civic is covered in whiskey dents, paid for, bright ass red, and gets 32mpg most days. Having a gas saver that you make payments on makes no sense to me.

It also lets me enjoy driving my truck on the weekends that much more.
