My youngest boy and another 11 yo on the dueling tree after our cowboy match Friday.




MY 15yo shooting at the match. I did not have enough black powder loads for him to use in the rifle so he only shot them in the pistol.

My 15 year old is using my SAA from Pietta. I am using an 1872 open top from Uberti. My youngest is using a Plinkerton .22 by Chiappa. So far they have all performed great for us. My only complaint would be the one from Pietta shoots low, so I need to either put a paint mark on the front sight or file it down. The one from Uberti shoots POA.

IMO I like the Uberti's a little better.

I just scored a USFA single action in .45 Colt. This thread makes me want to go shooting.

Yale you should take it out for a spin. I really like shooting the old cowboy guns, especially with BP cartridges. My oldest son and I are going to Indiana in June for the NCOWS national shoot.
