Looks like a good time. Those AC556s always looked neat.

It was a lot of fun. The range we were at only allows bursts, no mag dumps.
My dad just bought the AC and the MAC so he wanted to make sure both functioned correctly. The MAC had 5 mags with it so he had to shoot each one.
Surprisingly the Sionics can was keeping it very quiet. The 2nd stage wipes looked pretty bad so we were expecting it to be loud.
Every time I see the AC556 I hear the A-Team theme song.

You do not want to mag dump an AC556 anyway; it ruins them.

How exactly does a 2 stage suppressor work?
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

The 2 stage can is pretty neat.
1st stage is a perforated core with the can being packed with brass shoestring eyelets. The second stage is a series of "wipes" slightly smaller than the bullet. The large volume of the 1st stage does most of the work while the 2nd stage just keeps any gasses from passing the projectile - at least that's my understanding of it. Supposedly when the can is newly rebuilt you can hear the bolt cycle. This one wasn't exactly that quiet in person but it was surprisingly close. The brass hitting the table was louder than the firing.

That sounds pretty crude but I guess that expensive isn't always the correct answer and you can't argue with the results that you got out of it.

Remember, it was designed in the mid 60's. Technology isn't near what it is today.
Only downside to it is you must go thru it about every 500 rds to keep it working properly.

Man they don't ever let me shoot anything full auto out there. Guess depends on what days you hit. Cool guns.

Lou is pretty cool most times. I think he has to either know you fairly well or know someone in your group and have some trust for them.
We were the only ones there at first but 6-7 others showed up pretty quick. They all seemed shocked the first time we cracked off a FA gun. We were out there with Jeremy from White Wing and he brought the MP5 and his select fire M4. Suppressed full auto M4 was cool but honestly the MP5 was tits.

The range at the river allows anything full auto including .50 BMG.

If it wasn't 2 hours away. This place is 5 minutes up the road.
