My MP5 is done!

I had TPM Outfitters work over my MP5 for me into a sear ready, properly marked monster of a gun, and these guys delivered. The problem is it looks nicer than a factory MP5, haha.

All German including barrel!

I popped the sear in her at the LEO demo I was at and ran the dog piss out of it too. Also threw on a Knights can. Thing runs great, and I would recommend TPM for anything!

For sure go with TPM dude. Both are former Urbach employees (the Carroll Shelby of roller delayed blowback) and they really go above and beyond.

So I'm reading on the TPM Outfitters site about the HK SP89 conversion to MP5-N and they say this :

- We take an SP89, stretch both ends so you have an MP5-N without the SBR stamp.

What exactly do they stretch to keep you from needing a SBR stamp? Does it have a 16 barrel on it?

Once a rifle always a rifle according to the ATF. If you have an HK94 you cant cut it down and turn it into a pistol without a stamp, but if you have an sp89 you can put on an mp5 front end to make a pistol. They also extend the receiver and whatnot.

Could you turn a SP89 into a MP5 SBR? Or would you start with something completely different? I'm trying to figure out the best option for an MP5 SBR.

Of course, but some people dont want the NFA hassle, of they live in a non nfa state. The "stretch" has been around since the early 90s.

Both, they are a full custom shop.

I've always wanted a MP5 variant and the fact we have a local shop of experts makes having one built even more feasable. A field trip to TPM is in order.
