Picked up my new rifle

    Rifle is very accurate. 10 shots at 50 yds, all touching in a 1.5 inch vertical string.
    Tried at 100 but, this scope is a POS! This is the first Nikon scope ive tried, and will probably be my last. Couldn't get it to focus at 100, clarity was awful to say the least, edges were very blurry no matter what cheek position I used, eye relief on 14x was very short and had my kneck stretched to get a good picture.
    I'm returning the scope and getting a Vortex Viper, which from previous experience I know to be a far superior scope to this Nikon.

    Hopefully will have a 100yd range report soon.

      IMO it should do better than that at 50.

        That was 10 consecutive shots to see how it shot as it got hotter. Wanted to know if it was going to string vertically, horizontally, or just start throwing them randomly. The first 3 were easily 1/4", first 5 about 1/2"...

          Maybe it's just me but I would still expect better performance at 50 yards.

            I bet it is more accurate than what i posted...I've never claimed to be an expert marksman or even consider myself excellent. I'm pretty much self taught when it comes to rifle marksmanship from reading about techniques and such. I'm sure I'll get better with time and practice...
