I miss it up there. My dad has lived on acreage in the county since the late 80's. We just walked outside when we wanted to shoot. He had my stepbrother bring his backhoe up and make a good backstop for him at the current place.

I need to head up 22 and try to find some logging roads to shoot from, the new takedown is itching to burn a few hundred rds off

Awesome man! You will have to post more pictures while you are there ... Might get me moving a bit quicker on relocating out of Texas. I am so tired of 110 degrees plus for two-three months.

My experience with .22 pistols is they completely change once you put a suppressor on it. My P22 jammed after about 100 rds, just got too dirty, but ran fine without a can. I had a colt gold cup, did the same thing - jammed after about 100rds - got too dirty. The only pistols I've ever fired that were 100% reliable suppressed for any long period of time are Ruger MKII/MKIII's. I attribute that to a very low action weight - on those converted pistols the slide carries a lot of weight and inertia. When the gun gets dirty it doesn't have the spring pressure to chamber rounds and jams. On the MKII/MKIII it only has a small bolt and has much heavier spring pressure, so it just powers through the buildup.

Shot 400 rounds with zero misfires and jams, I just had a failure to battery on the 13th round fired. After that it was smooth sailing.
            LOL @ Fuck you, mountain!

Well let me know when you want to test a suppressor on a M&P 22 ... I just picked one up for under $350 out the door.

This Sunday works for me if you like. Did you get a thread adapter for it?

Hey "93WHITELXCOUPE" I was curious because i was at Cabella's today and was considering purchasing a Mosquito. Have you had an opportunity to shoot it and if so what are you're opinions of ownership so far? I have two Sig weapons now and I love them both, but have heard mixed reviews about the Mosquito. Thanks in advance.

Pass on it ... buy the M&P 22 instead.

Ok so they had one left at Cabela's, and I picked it up. Looking to go plink with it tomorrow sometime (hopefully) but I'll post my thoughts on it afterwards.

Had a Mosquito and P22, both ran like crap. Have a Sig 1911 .22. Runs excellent both with or without can although I did snap the factory guide rod and replaced with steel.

I have the sig 1911/22, also. I had to do some minor sanding, but it cycles great now. Not a single issue after that. I've shot 1000's of rounds out of it.

People try all these "real" looking 22 pistols, but in the end they all end up with a Ruger MK II/III or a Buckmark, lol.

I'm happy with mine. It was cheap, too!
