It's a blast to shoot, accurate as hell. We're going to go up to a friends house in Gainsville and get some 800 yard shots in.

To be honest I had never seen anyone mention CA before the HDMR. I notice it more, when I'm not straight up behind the rifle.

Here is some on a Vortex Viper all the way up to a Schmidt & Bender ( not my pics)

edit* here was my premier, it did not appear to have any

It has CA in the bokeh on the rear building. green/red are not converging optimally. Many scopes have CA, it costs a whole shit load to eliminate, especially on variable scopes.

It's my understanding all rifle scopes have some variation of CA some are just more noticeable.

Very nice. My lazy ass needs to do some loading since I used a good portion during deer season, then it will be time to hit the range.

Well get to it... I've got a few more rounds to shoot and then I'm going to fire up the annealing machine and get that thing dialed in. I'm looking forward to that. Make sure to update us with range results.

You can eliminate it, it's just financially unreasonable. I have had several camera lenses that literally have zero CA. They also cost 5-10k each.

I'm planning on it soon gonna try and shoot the 9rds of the previous 50 first, I hate loading in non 50-100 batches. Also hopping this summer I can get a good bit more brass formed to have available to load.

I was thinking of just rifle scopes, I can only imagine how expensive camera lenses can get.

Tac Pro, and hopefully North East Texas Tactical (1500 yards)

You have to be a member and certified at TacPro, but it's a great place to shoot.

Also if you want to get into tactical/practical long range shooting check out Texas Precision Rifle Club. Great group of people, cheap matches, and you learn a lot.

South East of Dallas. From my understanding, he isn't open yet due to legal problem with the locals.

What's up Ryan! I wasn't sure if you would recognize me through the forum. Remember I said I was looking at getting the Savage 110BA or 110FCP? Well I went with a Sako TRG-42 338LM and I have a Thunder Beast suppressor in the works too. I can't wait to get home to shoot all of my new toys!
