I still have two an M44 and an M91/30 to shoot.
CJ couldn't have hit the nail any more perfect. A bolt action rifle that jams. Say that to yourself and then figure out why the hell you still have this slavic relic. I broke my stock once on it...First hand witness at the failure of public healthcare.

Originally posted by SS Junk View PostFrom my internets studies, rim lock is caused by the interrupter not doing its job, which supposedly was a fantastic design for such a simple weapon. If that is the case then the tolerances are too loose to hold a casing in place while the bolt is ejecting a spent round. Don't take this personally, but I still think you are a gun snob. I would like to request you two stay out of this thread if you are going to snob it up by saying what I should have bought. I did not start this thread saying it's the best rifle ever. I don't expect much out of it. It's not going to be used in life or death situations. You haven't stated anything that I haven't already read about. As stated, it was cheap, the ammo is cheap and I'll deal with whatever comes next. Just got back from the range. Shoots high and to the right. Also has a problem cycling a spent casing. I don't think it's "sticky bolt" because it cycles rounds just fine before firing. It's just after the shell has expanded does it have a problem. After 40 rounds the rifle never experienced two rounds trying to feed at the same time. Still junk. Going to throw it away.

So your rifle won't extract spent casings without force, it's elevation is off, and the windage is fucked. Hmm.Originally posted by lincolnboyAfter watching Games of Thrones, makes me glad i was not born in those years.

Originally posted by CJ View Post...and all the shit you gave us saying we are snobs, you just experienced jams yourself. See what we're saying now? 40 rounds I wouldn't expect to see that problem. I usually shoot a can of 1080 and experience it a handful of times.

I don't think it could be that since it cycles just fine other than after it is fired. Other than that, I am not surprised the sights are off. It really does not bother me at all.
"One of most frequent postings on all of the Mosin Nagant related forums is that of the problem of sticking bolts. Many people believe that this is related to the type of ammo they are using, others believe it is a headspace problems and still others attribute it to a rough chamber. They are all correct in their own way but often the problem is as simple as a dirty chamber!"
So basically, your gun could have the sticky bolt for a multitude of reasons dude. I suggest polishing the chamber.Originally posted by lincolnboyAfter watching Games of Thrones, makes me glad i was not born in those years.
