if you're a skinny sob like me shooting it from prone isn't the awesome idea it may seem to be at first.

Mine only jams when it gets hot, so anytime after the first shot its a dice roll lol.

A bolt action that jams. Just say that to yourself for a few seconds.

It's as if you two snobs expect fluffy clouds and unicorns out of a $100.00 rifle. Cheap rifle. Cheap ammo. Who cares.

It's a fucking bolt action, no excuse for a bolt action to jam. You have 2 moving parts, how hard could it be to get that right?

I would rather spend a couple extra bucks and get a slav-produced Mauser 98 copy. Or if you are dead set on the $100 mark then get a steyr 95.

You can pay the same and get a better gun. The point is the Russians did manage to produce a unreliable bolt action rifle. Which the mere idea of such a thing boggles the mind. That's like producing a nail which doesn't hold wood together. Regardless, it's more of a humorous topic than a legitimate detraction.

Obviously the tolerances suck. Maybe because the machinery that produced the millions of these was a little worn? I'm going to be all like "in your face" if mine doesn't jam. I could care less. I have a dependable bolt action already. This was one of those compulsive buy kind of things.

The rifle uses rimmed ammunition yet fires from a box magazine. If you can get through a spam can of ammunition without experiencing rim-lock then it will have been an act of God.

The worse (or greater) the tolerances the more reliable it should be. It's just the way it was designed. For instance, why in the world does the action allow two cartridges to advance into the bolt channel? What in the world is the point of that? To create jams I guess. What will happen is the rim of the top cartridge will grab the rim of the cartridge below it and advance both of them into the bolt channel, and jam the shit out of the gun. You have to unlock the magazine clasp and drop all the rounds out of the bottom and bang the bolt backwards. And this only happens when reloading, so in other words - it only jams in life or death situations. It's just humorous.

I'll keep that in mind when the time comes for me to chose which rifle I should arm myself with during the next revolution.
