I've been through a lot of .22 pistols with suppressors and what I've found is the heavier the weight on the return spring, the less reliable it's going to be. The more weight the action has to move (like the slide on the .22 1911's) the less force it has to chamber a round. The guns run good when they don't have a suppressor, but when you put one on them they get dirty 10x faster, and when they get dirty it starts to have trouble chambering. I had 2 umarex 1911's - one a colt, and the other a colt gold cup, the other was a Walther P22. All of them had reliability problems with a can after about 100 rounds. The MKII/MKIII pistols have only a small rear charging handle to cycle, overall the reciprocating weight is very low, so it chambers really hard. I've shot 1,000 rounds through it without any problems with a can on.
