It didn't do too well on saturday, had several FTF and a stovepipe with the can on it. I'll give it a good cleaning and try some different ammo, but that's no good.

That sucks man! I ran about 400 through my sig 1911-22 yesterday and had no issues. Shot CCI, thunderbolts, and golden bullets, it had no problems with any of them and shot awesome! Hope you have better luck after cleaning it.

I saw that you sold it on THF. Did you shoot it much without the can? I was curious if it was reliable unsuppressed.

Yeah I sold it, it just wasn't reliable enough for me. I was told I just needed to shoot it more, or not load the mags all the way. Steve was awesome at MGS. When I first shot it I got feeding problems, and it would never strip the first round off the mag. I noticed the barrel had an obstruction (bad machining I suppose). I took it back up to MGS and we did find the barrel was messed up, so he swapped it for a new one. With the new barrel it had the same issues. I expect all my .22's to work flawlessly, if they jam or give me any issues I don't want them. It shot well and it was reasonable reliable with the new barrel, but I just didn't like the size and weight. I'm looking for another MKII/III now.

The real issue with it is it didn't respond well to being dirty, and when you put a can on a blowback gun it will get dirty QUICKLY. I would guess they get about 3x dirtier in the same amount of rounds as unsuppressed.

As for reliability, any .22 blowback gun should become much more reliable WITH a can attached because it boosts the pressures considerably, making the gun cycle much harder. So if it doesn't run with a can, you're sol without one.
