      I disagree. They're priced fair for a fair knife and their marketing is second to none. They are basically Kimber with better service and lower prices.

      I loved my CRKT knife, especially sharpening it all of the time, and tightening the grip / pocket clip attachment screws all of the time.

        I love my Kershaw Blackout but I do have to tighten the pocket clip all the time. The blade holds an edge for a good period of time as long as my wife doesn't get ahold of it and try to break down cardboard boxes or something.

          A good knife shouldn't have that big of an issue cutting cardboard. They will all require sharpening, but a good steel with a good heat treating will retain an edge well.

            I've never had a knife that really held an edge that well. Even some of my turn of the century butcher blades which are forged require regular sharpening.

                Oh, it cuts it no problem. But, it dulls the blade quickly.

                    As far as holding a egde what angle are you sharpening it to.

                    I do mine at 19 degree's and they are razor sharp and hold a decent edge for everyday stuff. Ive only got some cheapo's and a couple kershaws. the s30v blade will stay sharper longer, but it also takes longer to get it that sharp.

                    If i use them alot i can usually use a strop and get it sharp. I might sharpen them once a month with my stones. Mine is mainly used on twine, cardboard, twigs, skinning, fish and so on.

                    I've been happy with my kershaws except my s30v blur needs the tension screw tightened from time to time.
