          That's what I thought it was but I wanted to make sure. Been thinking about doing the same conversion. How is the new stock on recoil vs the original wood?

            Literally anything is better than the original stock on a 91/30. If you sharpened the original stock into a point, so it stabbed you in the shoulder when you fired, that would be better.
